Festival Nights
c. Long Cold Period

During the coldest months, communities marked the shortening daylight with gift-bearing processions and small offerings exchanged between households. Individuals dressed in bright garments travelled between homes, particularly where young residents were present.
The striped staff-like object is believed to have been a sweetened treat distributed during these visits.
